The meaning of a trek

The meaning of a trek doesn’t lie in its destination, but in the journey you face to reach it.
Walking is one of the most ancient action of the human race. If this was a need for our ancestors, it has became a cultural choice for us: a manner to open our minds to a different way of understanding nature, history, past traditions and new ways to live in the mountain environment.
The participants need some training, and some spirit of adaptability too, but above all they would have the wish and the willingness to watch with new eyes, to hear with new ears, to get involved in a new way.
The routes that we suggest are not far from the big city of Turin and from the nearby villages. On the contrary, from the path you will often see the houses, hear the sounds of trains and cars in the distance. Even because walking must not be an escape from our everyday life, but above all a new way to understand a reality we belong to. We are not leaving for remote and pristine countries: our thought and our heart must be pristine, open to a new knowledge.

When it occurs to walk during some days, you will need to learn a new way to use your energies at their best, with the intention to share your step with those who came before you, leaving their traces on mountains and valleys: pilgrims, soldiers, poachers, mystics …
It is possible to choose how to cover these roads as you like better: on your own in solitude, or in a group, independently managed. We offer you the chance to do it in small groups, supported by guides who know the region, who are able to make easier to identify the path and to solve problems, and who can also tell you the stories of the places you are about to walk through.
